In cyberspace more and more processing is done on encrypted data. Applications that compare encrypted data are mainly based on Secure Two-Party Computations (STPC), relying on heavy computational and communication complexity. This thesis researches the possibility to store a database of one party on a local device and give the other party the opportunity of using this database locally for research purposes, without disclosing the original content. In cyberspace more and more processing is done on encrypted data. Applications that compare encrypted data are mainly based on Secure Two-Party Computations (STPC), relying on heavy computational and communication complexity. This thesis researches the possibility to store a database of one party on a local device and give the other party the opportunity of using this database locally for research purposes, without disclosing the original content. The thesis results that local use of a database by STPC minimizes communication and computational complexity, resulting in faster results for the comparisons. These faster comparisons enlarge the applicability of STPC where low time consumption is important or where the amount of comparisons is significantly high, like when using a database. Especially with the use of databases for comparisons, the profit of the computational complexity on time consumption is in the order of the number of comparisons to be executed.
